Well, yeah, I'm bored and feel like typing whatever the hell comes into my head at the time.
Yeah, so I'm pretty good right now. I've got AWESOME grades, and as weighted GPA of 3.68, so I am SO FUCKING STOKED. A in Band, B+ in AP Calculus, A in French, A in Criminal LAw, A in History, A- in AP English. I reiterate: SO. FUCKING. STOKED.
Yeah, so, I realized today that mys situation with Lindsey is really confusing. I mean, Lindsey is a really friendly person, but it really messes with my brain when the fact that "I love _____" is her general term for "I enjoy _____". "I love you Max" is a frequent saying, yet I'm 95% sure its platonic seeing as she says it to all her friends(with their names, not mine. That would be pretty easy to read into.) Such friendly gestures usually decide how happy or internally glum I am that day. She hugs all of her friends, except me, on a regular basis, which is kind of disheartening and relieving at the same time. I mean, I'D like a hug, but my internal balance is awkward enough aleady. She hangs with us about 3/4 of the time at lunch now just because she doesn't really have other good friends at lunch(although I know she does, some of them are friends of mine too), so that makes me pretty happy, especially because I know its for me, seeing as how she doesn't really like my friends(and on the flip side, they don't really like her). I am SO. FUCKING. CONFUSED.
I'm really glad my friends don't have internet lives; I just realized that it would be utter hell if they ever read this journal.
Anyone here ever watch Lie to Me? It's a FOX TV show about a firm of psychologists who assist the police. The firm is a bunch of super-scientist type people who have mastered the art of reading lies from people's faces. The show isn't half bad, but the theme music, Brand New Day by Ryan Star, is EXCELLENT. Give the show a watch sometime.
On a similar note to TV music, Lincoln(as in the cars) commercials always have the best music. They used covers of Burnin' for You and Major Tom, both redone by Shiny Toy Guns, and back in 2003 they used an excellent jazz song titled Gat a Move On by Mr. Scruffs. Give 'em a listen, they're enjoyable.
Has anyone ever seen Snatch? It was a British heist film by Guy Ritchie back in 2000, and it was wonderful.
"Yes, London. Y'know, fish, chips, cup o' tea, bad food, worse weather, mary-fuckin'-poppins LONDON!"
Go watch it. You can find it pretty easy if you search the words snatch and stagevu in google. Go to the Stagevu link and download/watch. Beware the uninhibited f-bombs.
I'm-a getting tired now, running out of stuff to babble about. Babble is a fun word.
YOUR HOMEWORK FOR WHATEVER: Check out these epic-ly awesome bands/musicians/CDS:
Xploding Plastix, particulary "Sports, not heavy crime" and "omar shariff bonanza"
The "I Am Sam" soundtrack CD, love Revolution & Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
Dean Gray's American Edit. He does some pretty fantastic Greend Day remixes. Like, really. Check 'em out.
Massive Attack. You can never get enough Massive Attack.
Yello. Look for "Oh Yeah", "On the Run", and "Blender".
One Giant Leap. Its a really chill CD, check out the songs "Bushes" and "Braided Hair".
The song "Crazy" by Seal, and the cover by Alanis Morissette.
The latest Crystal Method CD, Divided by Night.
The Prodigy remix album, "Always Outsiders Never Outdone".
Boards of Canada. I've only heard one of their songs, but "Julie and Candy" is a really good song.
The band Syntax. They broke up, but they made one REALLY good album.
The Enigma remix album LSD:Love, Sensuality, Devotion.
"All the Love in the Revelator", a mash up of John the Revelator by Depeche Mode(for the awesome baseline) and All the Love in the World by Nine Inch Nails(for awesome lyrics).
"Underwear goes Inside the Pants" by Lazyboy. Its mor elike him just talking, but its totally good, and the lyrics both raise good political points AND made me giggle on the school bus.
"Who Do You Love". Both versions, the one by Bo Didley, Muddy Waters and Little Walter, AND the one by George Thorogood.
Hope you enjoy my little list here, and thanks for reading through my ramblings. Because you know what the verdict of this journal is? I. AM. SO. FUCKING. BORED.
